    If you dream that a friend or family member, able-bodied in your waking life, is using a wheelchair, this should be seen as a call to action. They are in desperate need of your help but cannot bring themselves to ask you outright. Instead your subconscious mind has picked up on subtle hints. It does have handle bars because I don’t have enough strength in my arms to push.   Case in point: My friend’s 5-year-old. His dad and I have been friends for over 15 years now, so he only knows me as a person in a wheelchair.

Millions of people live with disabilities, but the lives of disabled people have not significantly improved - they often undergo a kind of social death long before experiencing a physical one. This manual for friends of those with disabilities offers information, help and reassurance.
